I'm not listing friends with regular blogs, because there is a difference. A tumblog is so easy that the author usually posts little private mental details. Regular blogs are usually too thought-out to give you an intimate connection to the person.

In the interest of equal coverage, let's look at what YouTube is up to lately. They have added a new feature called "Recent Ratings" where you can see what four other random 'Tubers think of the video you are currently watching.
Great new Vimeo feature: HD layout for Channels.
Channels were originally designed for "normal" video. But now, if you go to your Channel's Settings page, then to "Layout", you can pick an HD-formatted layout! It fits HD videos perfectly at half size, and you can hit the "Full" button to view each video in its full 1280x720 glory.
